Herein lies the blood, sweat, tears, and pencil shavings that we call work. They are listed from the beginning classes all the way up to the last classes of our program. These projects include self portraits, visual development pieces, renderings, layout drawings, figure and animal drawings, perspective drawings, and character designs. Also included are sketchbook pages, personal paintings and drawings, and other side projects. This should give you a taste of what you can expect from the talented students at San Jose State University, who are well on their way to becoming professional artists.

The above painting was done by Adan Chung.

This piece accompanies an article by Elder Dallin H. Oaks of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, a prominent leader in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and a former Justice of the Utah State Supreme Court.

He relates the story of his grandmother, Chasty Olsen Harris, who as a young girl in Castle Dale, Utah, narrowly escaped a flash flood with some children she was watching, after she felt a strong spiritual prompting to take them quickly out of the dry river bed.
