A Collection of Sermon Illustrations using Bible Illustrator and SermonBuilder Formats

SermonBuilder includes everything you need to create punctuated sermons, comprehensive lessons, and in-depth Bible studies. It gives you access to any verse, word, or topic in the Bible and over 50,000 related articles. With SermonBuilder 4.0 you can create your own book of illustrations. Each personal book you create in SermonBuilder 4.0 is built on a topical structure from A to Z. Add your own topics. Fill each topic with text, links to images, hyperlinks to websites, and even cross-reference links to Bible passages. SermonBuilder 4.0 is built on the QuickVerse 2005 engine, giving you almost unlimited access to the Bible and other reference materials.

If you already have illustrations in sermon illustrationformat, you can convert them to use with SermonBuilder. Follow the instructions and download the conversion utility from QuickVerse.com.

If you have already downloaded illustrations from the Fredericksburg Church of Christ web site, we have already converted most of these illustrations for you. This collection contains nearly 11,000 illustrations. Please see our download instructions. NOTE: This download does not include illustrations that were added to our downloads page after August 1, 2005.

Bible Illustrator is a computer-based library of materials that "illustrate" biblical principles and religious concepts. Over 2,500 quotes, anecdotes, stories, and news items are included in Bible Illustrator. These thought-provoking bits of information, displayed in a note card style (see below), are appropriate illustrations for sermons, lectures, reports, etc. The items were originally collected by Sermons Illustrated, a subscription service that supplies the illustrations on index cards. Each illustration is indexed by topic, using the Thompson Chain-Reference Bible numbering system.

sermon illustration powerful search features make it easy to locate suitable illustrations by topic, and you can easily edit the existing cards or add your own items with the program's built-in word processor. To enhance your use of the program, you can run the program in conjunction with QuickVerse, the online Bible from FindEx.com, Inc.

To download files to use with Bible Illustrator, click the Download Illustrations link in the navigation menu above. If you are not sure what to do next, there is a "readme" file included with the download. This file contains instructions. (Note: While these illustrations are designed to work in conjunction with Bible Illustrator, this page is completely independent of FindEx.com, Inc. and is maintained by the Fredericksburg TX Church of Christ.)

To submit illustrations, click the Submit Illustrations link in the navigation menu above. This is an e-mail link, so you will need to send the illustration as an attachment to your e-mail message, or as part of the e-mail itself. If you already are a BI user, please use the recommended topics already included in the program, and use the File/Export option to export tagged card(s) to a supplement file. It is this supplement file (*.sup) that you will need to attach to your e-mail. The purpose of this (attaching to e-mail instead of uploading directly) is not to censor the sermon illustration, but to ensure proper format. If you are not a BI user, you can still submit illustrations. Either attach to e-mail (any format is fine) or include in the text of the e-mail message. Thank you for your participation!
